The Ministry of Justice will conduct a two-day multi-disciplinary dialogue on the
29th-30th of April, 2024 at Hotel Asmara Palace. The
session will revolve around the significant theme of "Values and
Justice." With the participation of both local and foreign experts as well
as stakeholders, this dialogue aims to foster a common understanding and
sharing of experiences regarding core Eritrean values and their integration in
the national legal framework.
I greatly appreciate it. Society is shaped by values. Values and justice go hand in hand. As Eritreans, we hold onto values that have been passed down through centuries and take pride in them. Wishing you a fruitful discussion and a productive exchange of ideas.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the Ministry’s outstanding engagement in fostering a culture of dialogue and collaboration on the crucial topic of values and justice.
The inclusion of both local and foreign experts, alongside stakeholders, demonstrates the Ministry’s dedication to inclusivity and diversity of perspectives. This approach ensures that the dialogue will be enriched by a wide range of insights and experiences, leading to a more comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the role of values in shaping a just and equitable society.
I am particularly impressed by the Ministry’s focus on integrating core Eritrean values into the national legal framework. This is a critical step in ensuring that the legal system reflects the values and aspirations of the Eritrean people. The dialogue provides a valuable platform for exploring how these values can be effectively translated into concrete legal principles and practices, ensuring that the law serves as a true instrument of justice.
I am confident that this dialogue will be a resounding success, contributing significantly to strengthening the Eritrean legal system and promoting a culture of justice and respect for human rights. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry for its leadership in organizing this important event and for its unwavering commitment to building a better future for all Eritreans.
